Personal Profile

Reading in Tent

The goal of this program  is to enhance the literacy skills of the students through basic reading skills and reinforcement activities. Students are introduced to thematic lessons and task-based activities to improve the fundamental components of reading such as phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.

Who is this for?

The program ideally serves students in Kinder to Grade 12 Programs ranging from 5 to 18 years old. Students who are above 18 can also learn with us through our advanced reading program with increasingly complex activities and texts. Students can begin learning with us at any level given their skills. Students can also progress as they feel confident in taking higher levels with the recommendations of the tutors and through objective assessments. Our goal is for students to be skilled, motivated, and confident in reading.

How is this taught?

As students progress, they begin to master the language and reading skills needed for their daily lives. Students in beginning levels start with the understanding of basic word patterns, sounds, and vocabulary words based on thematic lessons. Students in intermediate and advanced levels learn more progressively complex vocabulary words, language functions, and situational tasks across all themes.
