Speaking Test


Tell the students to listen carefully as each question can only be repeated twice. You may adjust your speed as need. You can show them the questions and/or choices. Ask them to answer in complete sentences.

*Note, if you feel that the student is having difficulty listening or comprehending the question you may rephrase and/or repeat it again.


Part 1

Directions: Ask student these questions.

  1. Do you wish you lived somewhere else? Why? or Why not?

  2. Have you ever had a difficult situation when something unexpected happened and you weren't prepared? What happened?

  3. Have you ever done something and then regretted it? Tell about something you wish you had done differently and why?

Part 2 
Instruction to student: 
Guess the definition of the following idioms and use them in a sentence.

  1. sick and tired of

  2. get rid of

  3. freak out

  4. break into

Part 3

Instruction to student: 

Write the antonym of the following words.

  1. antique

  2. contemporary

Part 4
Instruction to student: 
Tell me if you agree or disagree. Why?

  1. "Actions speak louder than words."
