  3. Up to their REGULAR CLASSES: continue learning, track progress and update parents to keep them happy with you and book more classes.

In this guide, you will be guided through all the steps, tools and rules in this process.

Step 3: Classroom Rules

5 minutes

Positive Tutors sends these classroom rules to parents and students. Reiterate these rules and what we expect from the students and parents.

  • Students must be in the Zoom link at least 3 minutes before the class.

  • Class time starts and ends on time. Classes cannot be extended in case of late students.

  • Students MUST turn on their cameras during the whole duration of the class. Tutors have the right to choose to suspend the class if they feel uncomfortable when students turn off their cameras.

  • As much as possible, parents must be present a few minutes before each class ends for a quick summary report about the class.

  • For any questions and concerns about your class, students may communicate with you through our website chat box.

Step 4: Communication

5 minutes

  • Students/parents and tutors must communicate on our website through the chat box.

  • Students/parents and tutors must follow each other's profiles on the website.

    • Students/parents' profiles are sometimes in private mode. If so, teach them to make their profiles public and ask them to follow you and send you a message. Use screen sharing tool on Zoom to make the process clear and easy.

Step 5: Class Planning

5 minutes

  • Establish on which topic you will start and where you want to lead them.

  • Ask the student as many questions as you can to help you create a better teaching technique that is according to their needs.

Step 6: Class Proper

15 to 20 minutes

If you have time, conduct the first class.

USE: ELA Materials and Books

Step 7: Class Summary

1 to 2 minutes

A few minutes before the class ends, ask the parent to be in the meeting and make a quick (1 to 2 minutes) class summary report to both of the parent and student.

Step 8: End Positive

End with the same positive quote from the beginning of the class.

Step 9: Help the Parent Book Your Next Classes

1 to 2 minutes

To make sure you are booked, remind them to book your next classes. Let them know that withouth booking ahead, there is no guarantee of your availability to them.

Here's how to book classes as a parent/student.
